At the indirect request of a particular gentleman (Yes, my dear R., I mean you!) this is another post in English.

I stumbled across a very interesting article, which is actually a speech of Roy F. Baumeister given at a meeting of the American Psychological Association in San Francisco on August 24, 2007.
